We moved to our family farm near Reading, MN when I was nine years old. My fascination and love for agriculture was immediate. We grew corn, beans and hay. One of the first things my Dad taught me to do was cut hay. I learned on a MF 150 and a sickle mower. It soon became my job to cut, rake and run the baler. I've been farming ever since. We got a round baler in the 80's and started to do custom work for area farmers. By the late 90's we had tripled our hay acres. Hay is my main concentration but I also still farm corn and beans. I’ve baled over 100,000 bales since we got our first round baler. Let’s face it, this industry is evolving and changing daily. I continually study the market to stay apprised of the latest trends in the hay industry. My interest in the industry led me to become a sales representative for some of the companies that I trust and use myself. I do not sell products that I don’t first try and use on my own farm. I have to say I enjoy selling as much as I do farming. I have met a lot of great people through this business. I enjoy selling a quality product at a reasonable price.
